An international team are on a mission to complete the first circumnavigation of the South Atlantic by an unmanned underwater robot. They aim to make history by testing the limits of the technology, and replicating the routes of the first global oceanographic expedition by the HMS Challenger.

We traveled 250 miles off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa aboard a research vessel to film this mission.
